ABOUT OUR GOLF CLASSIC

Dear Community Partners, Sponsors, and Supporters,

The I.S. Hankins – F.A. Johnson Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, in conjunction with the Delta Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., will host our 3rd Annual Hankins Johnson Education Foundation Golf Classic September 20, 2024. Registration and practice facilities available at 7:30am. Shotgun, Scramble at 8:30 am. Lunch, awards, and prizes at 1:30pm.

Proceeds will fund our scholarships, Young Men of Distinction (YMOD), Mentoring Program, Head Start to Literacy Initiative, STEM Club, and other foundation programs and projects. We awarded $35,000 in scholarships last year. We are on pace to exceed that amount in 2024. We delivered over one thousand (1,000) books and large quantities of supplies to Head Start centers in Orange County last year. We are on pace to exceed that support this year.

Your support made a real impact in our communities! Therefore, we ask you to partner with us as a sponsor for our 2024 Hankins Johnson Education Foundation Golf Classic. Our goal for this event is to raise $50,000 to support our programs and initiatives.

ABOUT THE COURSE

Eagle Creek Golf Club is a unique course collaboration that blends the best of traditional European design with state-of-the-art American technological innovation, all under Orlando, Florida’s trademark sunny skies.

Designed by world-renowned golf course architects Ron Garl and Howard Swan, Eagle Creek is an extraordinary 18-hole, 7198-yard, Par 73 championship course with five sets of tees for golfers of all skill levels.

Johnson Education Foundation, Inc. is a 501(c) (3) charitable organization that was established in March 1993, by the Orlando Alumni Chapter (Delta Xi Lambda) of the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. in honor our belated Brothers I. Sylvester Hankins and Felton. A. Johnson. The purpose of the Foundation is to promote, support, and instill in youth the values of high educational achievement, leadership and community service. The Foundation provides academic, personal, leadership and social development to young men in the Metro Orlando area through the Young Men of Distinction Male Mentoring Program (YMOD).
