ABOUT OUR GOLF CLASSIC

Dear Community Partners, Sponsors, and Supporters,

The I.S. Hankins – F.A. Johnson Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, in conjunction with the Delta Xi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., will host our 5th Annual Hankins Johnson Education Foundation Golf Classic on September 12, 2026. Registration and practice facilities available at 7:30am. Shotgun, Scramble at 8:30 am. Lunch, awards, and prizes at 1:30pm.

Proceeds will fund our scholarships, Young Men of Distinction (YMOD), Mentoring Program, Head Start to Literacy Initiative, STEM Club, and other foundation programs and projects. We awarded $41,000 in scholarships this year. We delivered over one thousand (1,000) books and large quantities of supplies to Head Start centers in Orange County last year.

Your support made a real impact in our communities! Therefore, we ask you to partner with us as a sponsor for our 2026 Hankins Johnson Education Foundation Golf Classic. Our goal for this event is to raise $50,000 to support our programs and initiatives.

ABOUT THE COURSE

Located minutes from Downtown Orlando, Dubsdread Golf Course features the oldest public layout in the central Florida area, originally designed in 1924 and renovated in 2008.

This classic course has plenty of history attached to it as the former site of the Orlando Golf Open, when it hosted such golf legends as Sam Snead, Ben Hogan and Claude Harmon.

Today, golfers are treated to the same beautiful scenery and challenges of the original course, including narrow fairways and heavily bunkered, “postage stamp” style greens.
